AI Rap Video Prompt: Copy It or Skip It

An AI rap video prompt for image-to-video models with a reference photo and track, and what it can’t control.

Last updated: 2026-10-29

You need an AI rap video prompt only when you make the video yourself, in an AI video model that takes a reference photo and a reference audio track. On Rap Video AI you don’t: our templates, such as Make Me Rap and Hotel Lobby AI, need no prompt at all. You upload one or two photos, and the people in them take the places of the performers in our own template, frame for frame. The AI rap video prompt below is for everything else: the room you want, a track you have the rights to, in any image-to-video model that accepts reference images and audio.

The AI rap video prompt

Paste this into the prompt box, with your photo as image 1 and a photo of the room you want as image 2. Never name a celebrity, a song or a lyric in the prompt: named songs and quoted lyrics make the model improvise the words, and then the lip-sync drifts.

Music video in 9:16, one continuous shot on a tripod with a slow, steady push-in. The setting and lighting are exactly those of image 2: a small studio with a seamless, bright orange wall and floor, soft even light from the front, and one vintage silver microphone on a black stand in front of the host. The host is the subject of image 1: keep their face, hair, colors and outfit exactly as in image 1. The host is the only person in the video. Audio 1 is the soundtrack and plays unchanged from the first frame. The host raps the vocals of Audio 1 into the microphone, lip-syncing every word, and every move lands on the beat.

0-3s: the host steps up to the microphone and nods to the beat.

3-7s: the host raps with one hand on the stand and the other moving to the rhythm.

7-11s: the host leans toward the lens and points at the camera on the beat.

11-15s: the host steps back, raises both hands, grins and nods to the beat until the end.

Realistic. No text, no logos, no subtitles.

How to use the prompt

  1. Pick a model that takes reference images and a reference audio track, at 15 seconds and 720p, in 9:16. Check the model’s own documentation first: not every image-to-video model accepts audio.
  2. Image 1 is your photo: one person, facing the camera, waist-up. Image 2 is an empty room or studio, made with any image generator.
  3. Audio 1 is a rap track you have the rights to. A 15-second section with clear vocals works best.
  4. Generate, then check the first two seconds. Most models add a short lead-in before they start performing, so the video can start a beat late. Trim it in an editor, or replace the model’s audio with your original track lined up by ear.
  5. Expect to rerun. Each run is different; plan on 3-5 tries for one you like.

What the prompt can’t control

  • Exact lip-sync. Models re-sing the reference track, so the timing drifts by a fraction of a second. Lining the original audio back up fixes most of it.
  • Likeness. Side views, sunglasses and low light lose the face no matter what the prompt says.
  • Two people. Prompts asking for two rappers from two photos often swap or merge the faces. That is why our templates, such as Rap Duet, don’t build the scene from a prompt: each starts from a finished take, played by AI-generated performers, and puts one of your photos in each performer’s place, so photo 1 always stays on the left and photo 2 on the right.

When you don’t need a prompt

With a template, the parts a prompt can’t pin down are fixed: the set, the camera, the cuts and the moves are the same in every video. A rap template comes with its own original AI song; a meme template such as Hotel Lobby AI comes silent and is timed to the trend's sound, which you add in TikTok. The clothes come from your photos. One video is $9.99, and if a video fails, its credits come back automatically.

What it can’t do: pets, your own track or a 16:9 video. For those, use the prompt above in a model of your own, or see how to make an AI rap video for the other ways. The trends this prompt is built on are on AI rap trends.
